A charge of felony possession of guns or ammunition against Dale Steven Pindegayosh, 29, of Frazee, was dismissed in Becker County District Court.

According to court records, a White Earth police officer was patrolling in White Earth on Monday, Sept. 12, 2022, when he encountered a vehicle that had been reported stolen in Duluth.

The owner of the vehicle claimed her boyfriend, Pindegayosh, had taken the car without her permission. The officer was then told that Pindegayosh left the key for the vehicle in the house.

The woman said that Pindegayosh needed items retrieved from the vehicle before it was towed away and handed the vehicle’s key to the officer.

A tow truck driver arrived and in the process of hooking the vehicle up to tow located a Rock Island Armory loaded .38 revolver with six rounds.

A fingerprint on the gun matched Pindegayosh. He is prohibited from possessing guns or ammunition after an adjudication for second-degree burglary, a crime of violence, in juvenile court.

The felony possession charge was dismissed by the Becker County Attorney’s Office as part of a plea agreement in a concurrent case in Clearwater County.
