Frazee cross country team sets seven personal bests at Perham meet

With just one meet remaining before the section meet, the Heart O’ Lakes Conference meet in Breckenridge on Tuesday night, the Frazee Hornets are posting some of their best times not only for the season, but their careers.
During the Harrier Invite in Perham last Thursday, the top five finishers for the Frazee girls cross country team posted a personal record, while two boys team members posted a personal best and two others posted season best marks.
Rilynn Ruiz posted a personal best time of 20:51 to finish in 50th place to lead the Hornet charge. Lola Hoehne finished in 68th place with a personal best time of 21:28, Bristol Larsen finished in 94th place with a personal best time of 22:28, Brooklynn Riewer finished in 112th place with a personal best time of 23:21, Zoey St. Germain finished in 138th place with a personal best time of 25:46. Madilyn Perrine finished in 142nd place with a time of 26:30 and Caleigh Pausch finished in 143rd place with a time of 27:09. There were 154 girls competing in the varsity race.
The boys team was led by Jonah Sharp who finished in 80th place with a time of 18:45. Coltyn Pender posted a personal best as he finished in 88th place with a time of 19:09, Talon Hoverson posted a season record to finish in 98th place with a time of 19:42. Paul Sharp also posted a season best time to finish in 105th place with a time of 19:49, Eli Heston posted a personal best time of 20:16 to finish in 118th place. There were 152 boys competing in the varsity race.
The boys team placed 17th overall with a team score of 460. They were just behind United North Central who took 16th place with a team score of 446. There were 21 teams who registered team scores at the meet with Perham capturing first place with 29 points and Brainerd placing second with 92 points.
The girls team finished in 18th place overall with a score of 449. They were just behind Detroit Lakes in 17th place with a score of 430 points. Perham won the meet with a score of 33 and there were 21 complete teams for the girls race.
