The Wolf Lake City Council unanimously passed a motion during its Tuesday, Oct. 14, regular monthly meeting to construct a second pickleball court at the Wolf Lake Waterfront Park and Campground.

The council also unanimously accepted an $11,000 donation from the Wolf Pack Baseball Club to help pay for it. The community and others visiting have enjoyed the existing pickleball court. Sometimes people wait in line to use it, officials noted, so twice as many people will be able to play the game at the same time with a second court. Councilor Vernette Gilbertson made the motion to approve the second pickleball court and Councilor Curtis Aho seconded the motion.

The council also unanimously passed a motion accepting bids from JB Surfaces and Eastman Fence & Sons to work on the new pickleball court in the spring of 2026.

The council noted that the campground has closed for this season.
