The 2025 Relay for Life of Otter Tail County was both exciting and challenging for the Relay Event Leadership team.  It was exciting to be planning to celebrate and honor the 30th anniversary of a successful relay, yet there was also the challenge of searching for and adapting to a new venue. All things considered, the leadership team felt the Relay for Life featured several meaningful ways to honor its 30-year history, and the first year at the new venue presented some new opportunities for growth, as well as a few challenges.

When the Relay for Life Event Leadership Team met for its first meeting of 2025, they set some ambitious goals: 25 teams, 100 cancer survivors at the event, 40 ACS CAN members, and a fundraising goal of $200,000. While the goal of 25 teams was not realized, the 21 active teams did an incredible job of fundraising, with several teams bringing in totals this relay has not experienced before. The Vergas Looneys raised over $44,000, and the Mills Dream Team raised just under $33,000.

The Otter Tail County Relay for Life exceeded the goal of 40 ACS CAN members, and there were 94 cancer survivors at the Cancer Survivors Dinner and 75 Survivors at the Relay. As for the ambitious fundraising goal, the 2025 Relay for Life of Otter Tail County raised an amazing $210,256.
