Rain turned into snow late in the afternoon as temperatures dropped and about an inch of snow had blanketed the ground by midnight. Highway traffic was slowed down due to snow driven by strong winds and slush on the roads. However, temperatures rose to the low 40’s on Saturday and practically all the snow disappeared.
The Minnesota deer seasons open Nov. 1 and continues through Nov. 20 with a variety of regulations and zone options. The Department of Natural Resources reminds hunters that Nov. 1 is also the last date for buying a license for the 1975 deer season. A DNR official said no one should try to buy a license until he has read the hunting regulations and is aware of the various options and restrictions.
