County Commissioners engaged with residents at the Community Open House on Nov. 17 at the Government Services Center in Fergus Falls.

Residents had the opportunity to connect with county leaders and staff during Otter Tail County’s Community Open House on Nov. 17 at the Government Services Center in Fergus Falls. The event provided a casual, informative setting for residents to learn about county initiatives, ask questions, and share ideas.

County departments highlighted ongoing projects and services. County Engineer Jodi Teich updated attendees on 2025 construction projects and progress on the 2050 transportation plan. Community development staff shared details about new housing initiatives and community improvement projects. Financial services staff demonstrated a property fraud alert tool, while the Treasurer’s Office provided a brief demonstration of a new website feature for finding and paying taxes online.

Following the presentations, residents spoke directly with commissioners and county staff, sharing ideas and asking questions on a wide range of topics.
