Hamm captures first at WDC tournament

Grace Hamm captured first place at the Dennis Kaatz Memorial tournament at the Wadena-Deer Creek in rather convincing fashion on Saturday.
The freshman secured a major decision in the opening round of the tournament, before securing a pin over Addison Hillukka of Wadena-Deer Creek at 2:27 and over eventual runner up Molly Ferguson of Thief River Falls at 4:36 to win the 136A tournament.
Also placing for the Hornets was Avory Ramiriz tho took sixth place in the 124A tournament, Lola Hoehne who took third place in the 130A tournament, Kienna Ard took fifth place in the 142A tournament and Kourtnie Earp took second place in the 190A tournament.
