The Frazee Hornets remained unbeaten and secured an impressive 70-64 win over Breckenridge at home on Friday night.

The trio of Jayden Sonnenberg, Brynn Larson and Katie Courneya combined to outscore the entire Breckenridge Cowgirls team themselves by a 65-64 margin as the Hornets continued to find success in one of their best starts in school history. 

Sonnenberg led the way with a double-double of 28 points and 14 rebounds, while Brynn Larson also registered a double-double with 21 points and 17 rebounds. Courneya chipped in with 16 points and five rebounds. Also scoring for the Hornets was Leslie Moore who chipped in with five points in the win.

As a team the Hornets shot 36 percent from the field, but went 20-25 from the free throw line and pulled down 41 rebounds as a team. 

This week the Hornets will host Highway 10 rival Perham, before hitting to road to play Hawley on Friday night. On Tuesday, Dec. 23, the Hornets will host the Pelican Rapids Vikings in a big Heart O’ Lakes Conference match up. Frazee will also participate a tournament in Pelican Rapids from Dec. 29-30, before wrapping up the 2025 portion of their schedule. 

Frazee is currently in first place in the HOL with a record of 5-0 with Perham and Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton tied for second place with a record of 3-1.
