The Frazee Hornets fell to 0-3 on the season with a tough 69-53 loss to Breckenridge on Friday night.

The Hornets trailed by a score of 40-25 at halftime, but were able to mount a comeback early in the second half, before ultimately dropping their third straight game to start the season. The Hornets shot just 37.7 percent from the field and went just 9-20 from the free throw line, but were able to get to the basket throughout the night as they totaled 28 points in the paint.
Frazee was led offensively by Noah Mekalson who had an impressive 15 points off of just 7-11 shooting. Ben Reierson and Dawson Lyman each chipped in with 12 points, while Adam Vigen scored 11 points to go along with seven rebounds and five assists. Ayden Grossman scored three points, but pulled down 10 rebounds in the loss.
Frazee will have a busy seven day stretch to close out the 2025 portion of their schedule as they host New York Mills on Tuesday, before traveling to Hawley on Thursday and Sebeka on Friday. The Hornets will wrap up their 2025 schedule on Tuesday, Dec. 23 when they host Pelican Rapids in a Heart O’ Lakes Conference match up.
