One man is dead after an overnight shooting in Frazee Saturday, Dec. 20.

The Becker County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call at 2:38 a.m., Saturday reporting a disturbance at 701 W. Ash Avenue in Frazee. 

While deputies were responding, there was a report of shots being fired with one victim believed to have been wounded. Four suspects reportedly left the scene in a black SUV.

When deputies arrived, they found a 19-year-old male victim. Life-saving measures were performed at the scene, and the male was transported to Essentia-St. Mary’s Hospital. He was later pronounced deceased at St. Mary’s. 

The Becker County Sheriff’s Office identified the man shot and killed as 19-year-old Bryson Andrew May.

The SUV was located a short time later by an Otter Tail County deputy north of Perham. Four individuals believed to be connected to the incident have been detained. All names are being withheld pending further investigation.

This is believed to be an isolated incident with no further perceived threat to the public. The incident remains under investigation.
