The Frazee Fly Girls came home with some hardware during their meet last week at PACT Charter School.

The Frazee Fly Girls dance team travelled to PACT Charter School on Saturday, Jan. 3 to compete in a Class A and Class AA combined competition. 

The Junior Varsity Jazz team placed second after losing a tie breaker for first with the St. Cloud Crush JV Jazz team. They finished with an overall score of 186, receiving the highest scores in the categories of Technique of Leaps and jumps and overall routine effectiveness. 

The Varsity Jazz team had a very strong showing receiving their highest score of the season with a 286. This placed them in third behind St. Cloud Crush in first place and North Branch in second place. Both of these teams are Class AA schools. They scored specifically high in the overall routine effectiveness category with a 32. The Varsity Jazz team worked hard over break to increase accuracy and control in their routine and it showed well during this competition. 

The Varsity Kick team placed fifth after losing a tie breaker for fourth with PACT Charter School. The kick team finished with a score of 269, receiving the highest scores in the categories of Creativity and Difficulty of Choreography. Finishing in first place was St. Cloud Crush, Marshall in second place and Rockford in third place. 

The Jazz teams head to Dilworth-Glydon-Felton on Thursday night for their Heart of the Lakes Jazz Conference meet. The competition starts at 6 p.m. with JV Jazz performing at 6:35 p.m. and Varsity Jazz performing at 7:15 p.m.
