After starting their season with six straight losses, the Frazee Hornets opened the 2026 portion of their schedule with a pair of impressive wins.

After finishing the opening 18 minutes of action in a 44-44 tie, the Frazee Hornets spent much of the second half trailing the Barnesville Trojans in their first action after a long Christmas break. However, the Hornets were able to claw back into the game late in the second half to overtake the Trojans 77-73 for their first win of the season.

The Hornets were able to hang on to the ball throughout the game by having just 13 turnovers and forcing 16 Barnesville turnovers that led to 18 points off of turnovers and 11 points in transition. The Hornets also dominated the Trojans in the paint by holding a 44-24 advantage down low. Barnesville was able to stay in the game thanks to the 3-point shot by going 14-33 from behind the arc, compared to just 6-21 for the Hornets.
Frazee was led offensively by Adam Vigen who finished with a double-double with 33 points to go along with 11 rebounds. He went an impressive 12-24 from the field and 5-5 from the free throw line.
