The Frazee Fly Girls had Heart of the Lakes Jazz Conference last Thursday at Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton.

The JV girls finished in fifth place with their best scores coming from the categories of Difficulty of Routine Choreography and Routine Effectiveness.

The Varsity Jazz team also finished in fifth place with their highest scores coming from the categories of Visual Effectiveness and Difficulty of Skills. Crosby-Ironton earned first place, followed by Bagley in second, DGF in third and Hawley in fourth place.

On Saturday, Jan. 10, the Fly Girls traveled to Alexandria. The JV Jazz team finished in fourth place and scored their best scores in the categories of Degree of Accuracy and Routine Effectiveness. 

The Varsity Jazz team finished in second behind DGF. They scored well in the categories of Difficulty of Skills, Visual Effectiveness, and Routine Effectiveness. 

The Varsity Kick team finished fourth place behind Pelican in first, DGF in second, and Minnewaska in third. They received their highest scores in the categories of Creativity and Difficulty of Transitions and Formations. 

The Fly Girls will travel to Pelican Rapids High School on Friday for the HOL Conference Championships. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with the competition starting at 6 p.m. This will be a varsity only meet. Then on Saturday the Varsity teams will be competing in Yellow Medicine East.
