Hornets improve to 10-2 with commanding win over Cougars

The Frazee Hornets improved their winning streak to five games after securing a commanding 80-40 win over Ada-Borup West in non-conference action on Friday night.
The Hornets offense was hitting on all cylinders on Friday night after taking nearly a week off of action. Frazee shot just under 51 percent from the floor and knocked down 12-25 from behind the 3-point line.
Jayden Sonnenberg led the way offensively with 28 points, while Brynn Larson chipped in with 16 points and Katie Courneya knocked down three 3-pointers to finish with 15 points.
Ruby Eckhert scored seven points, Caleigh Pausch scored five points, while Leslie Moore, Maggie Blaine and Ellie Trieglaff each scored three points in the win.
The win improves the Hornets to 10-2 on the season as they will get back into the Heart O’ Lakes Conference this week against Barnesville at home on Tuesday night, before traveling to Park Rapids Area on Friday night for a pair of conference games.
Frazee is tied with Perham for second place in the conference with a record of 6-2 in HOL action, trailing just Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton with a record of 7-1.
