Fly Girls brave the weather, compete at large YME Invite

The Fly Girls Varsity Jazz team finished 12th at the Yellow Medicine East Invite.
The Frazee Fly Girls braved the winter weather and travelled to Yellow Medicine East on Saturday, Jan. 17. This competition showcased several of last year’s state finalist teams in both jazz and kick.
The Varsity Jazz team finished 12th with a score of 271. The team scored highest in the categories of difficulty of skills and routine effectiveness. Top spots went to St. Cloud Cathedral in first, Lac Qui Parke Dawson Boyd in second and Holdingford in third.

The Varsity Kick team finished 13th with a score of 246. They scored highest in categories of visual effectiveness and difficulty of kicks. Top places went to St. Cloud Cathedral in first, Lac Qui Parle Dawson Boyd in second and Holdingford in third.
The Fly Girls are looking forward to their final week of regular season competition on Friday, Jan. 24 in Hawley. This competition will also double as the Heart of the Lakes Conference Championships to make up for the postponement last week. Doors open at 5 p.m. with the competition starting at 6 p.m.
