During this short month of February, Vitalant urges all donors, especially type O donors, to give blood and help keep the supply for patients from falling short.

The Vergas Blood Drive will be held Thursday, Feb. 12, at the Vergas Event Center. The Event Center will be open from 11:15 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., for blood donations.

An active flu season combined with winter weather across the United States has reduced donor availability, making it especially important for those who are healthy and in areas unaffected by severe weather to step up and donate to help ensure an ample blood supply for patients in our communities.
