Michael Allen Willette, of Frazee, was charged with felony third-degree assault and misdemeanor fifth-degree assault as the result of a December fight at an apartment complex in Frazee. 

According to Becker County District Court records, the Frazee Police Department received a report of the fight that occurred on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2025. Multiple individuals involved in the incident, including Willette, 33, were identified by Frazee police.

Surveillance video appears to support a woman’s recount of the events which include Willette yelling, slamming and kicking a car door before assaulting the woman making the report and another woman.

The assault allegedly continued inside the apartment building, including Willette punching the reporting woman with a closed fist three times.

Willette was released without bail on Wednesday, Feb. 4, under standard conditions, including no contact with either victim. Willette’s next court appearance is set for Monday, March 23.
