Auditor / Treasurer 2014 result reported incorrectly

0The Forum regrets an error in the “Commissioners consider change to appoint position of Auditor-Treasurer” story published Tuesday, March 10.
The article claimed that Auditor / Treasurer Mary Hendrickson was appointed to the 2014 Becker County Auditor-Treasurer position when, in fact, she was elected to the position.
Hendrickson also did not agree with Commissioner Barry Nelson to appoint the position.
“I suggest that if you want to make this an appointed position, schedule a public hearing,” she said. “Hear from the public, hear from the taxpayers.”
