Sheriff Barry Fitzgibbons congratulated Corrections Sergeant Myrna Budke and Corrections Officer Mike Wentzel on their retirements from the Otter Tail County Detention Facility Monday, March 16. 

“With over 56 years of combined experience between Sgt. Myrna Budke and Corrections Officer Mike Wentzel, we are losing an incredible amount of knowledge and dedication.
Thank you both for your many years of professionalism, hard work, and commitment. Wishing you the very best as you begin your well-deserved retirements,” Fitzgibbons said.

Myrna dedicated 37 ½ years of service, including 11 years as Sergeant, and served as a Training Coordinator, Court Escort Officer, and Correctional Emergency Response Team (CERT) member during her career. 

Mike served 19 ½ years as a Corrections Officer and also served as a CERT member.
