Frazee senior pole vaulter Tyden Schaefer placed 25th at the New Balance Nationals Indoor Track and Field Championships Saturday, March 14, in Boston, Massachusetts.

Jumping for his Club Team, Fleigle’s Flyers Club out of Columbia Heights, Schaefer cleared 15-feet, 1.75-inches to tie with eight other jumpers at that height. There were 44 national pole vault qualifiers.

Schaefer cleared his opening jump of 14-8 and his second jump of 15-01.75 on his first attempts prior to three misses at 15-07.75.

Schaefer made his second best jump of 2026 behind only his personal best of 15-feet, 10-inches set in February at the Maverick Open in Mankato.
