Frazee High School senior Jayden Sonnenberg participated in the Minnesota-All-Star game last weekend. Sonnenberg and 41 other senior basketball players from the across the state took part in the all-star game that was held at Carleton College.

Sonnenberg joined nine other girls on her team, including Kaia Anderson from Perham, and led her team in both points and rebounds with 17 points and 13 rebounds in the game.

“It was a great experience to being able to watch Jayden play with such a talented group and had a strong supporting group of family, friends, and teammates show up to support her,” said head coach Trey Hensius. “With the opportunity to wear the green Frazee jersey one last time, Jayden was able to represent the Frazee school and community with such class, respect, skill, and most importantly represent the community and school in which she cares and loves so much.”

In addition to the all-star game, Sonnenberg took second place in the 3-point contest after knocking down 13 3-pointers, falling by just one shot.

In addition to Anderson and Sonnenberg, Parker Yaggie from Breckenridge and Morgan Korf from Pelican Rapids participated in the all-star game from the Heart O’ Lakes Conference.

In the fall Sonnenberg will play basketball for the University of North Dakota.
