The Frazee boys and girls track teams posted 36 top 10 finishes and four top finishes overall at the United Clay Becker Early Bird on Thursday night.

Aynslee Johannsen led the way on the track for the Frazee girls as she placed up a pair of top finishes. She won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 18.5, as well as the 300-meter hurdles with a time of 51.23. 

Rilynn Ruiz took second place in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:41.75, while teammate Lauryn Schmid took sixth place with a time of 2:46.25. 

In the distance races, Lola Hoehne finished fourth in the 3200-meter run with a time of 13:36.92.

The 4×800-meter relay team took first place with a time of 11:00.27, while the 4×400-meter relay and 4×200-meter relay teams both captured second place on Thursday.

In the field events, Jayden Sonnenberg took second place in the triple jump with a jump of 32’66 1/2”, as well as sixth place in the long jump with a jump of 15’7”. 

Brynn Larson captured third place in the high jump with a jump of 4’11” and Leslie Moore took third place in the shot put with a throw of 31’11 13/4”.

On the boys side, the Hornets dominated the relays with the 4×800-meter relay team capturing first place with a time of 9:54.38 and the 4×100-meter relay team placing second with a time of 45.45. The 4×400-meter relay team took third place with a time of 3:45.06. 

Ayden Grossman took fifth place in a competitive 100-meter dash with a time of 11.94 and Jonah Sharp took third place in the 3200-meter run with a time of 11.23.5. 

Leading the way in the field events was William Stroburg who took fifth place in the triple jump with a jump of 37’ 1/2”.
