Who are the Becker County Master Gardeners?

0The University of Minnesota Master Gardener program includes volunteers of all ages. They have completed an intense core course taught by University faculty and Extension educators on a wide variety of horticulture subjects.
The mission of the University of Minnesota Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Program is to use research-based horticultural knowledge and practices to deliver educational outreach and project-based efforts that inspire change and promote healthy people, healthy communities, and a healthy planet.
Some of the activities Becker County Master Gardener volunteers are involved in include answering horticultural questions, annual plant sale holding plant clinics, teaching community education classes, working with youth on gardening projects,
writing articles for local newspapers, garden talks at the DL library, Becker County Fair walk-by garden, managing and maintaining the Community Garden, maintaining a Facebook page and many more projects.
