Grand opening of Vergas Story Book Trail

The Vergas Arts Club presents Bring in Spring, a free event for the entire family, Saturday, May 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Vergas Event Center, 140 W. Linden St. This fun-filled morning provides a variety of activities for all ages, rain or shine.

There will be a reading and book signing by Yvonne Pearson, author of the children’s book, Little Loon Finds his Voice. Participants will receive a complimentary copy of the book, thanks to a donation by Billy’s Corner Bar & Grill. In addition, families can also read about Little Loon as they stroll the Story Book Trail along the shore of Long Lake.

Bookmarks which will be given at the reading, display a map showing the way from the event center to the trail.

Children will also have the opportunity to do a hands-on activity with the Otter Cove Children’s Museum from Fergus Falls as well as create Mega Bubbles with Baron of Bubbles. Children will receive Twisted Balloons from The Twisted Sister Vicki Joan and can have their faces painted by Painted Turtle Face Painting. A snack will also be provided.

Bring in Spring is sponsored by the Vergas Arts Club with funds from the Vergas Community Club.
