The Frazee Hornets fell to 7-7 on the season with three tough losses, including an 18-1 loss to Perham in Heart O’ Lakes Conference action on Thursday.
On Monday night the Hornets fell to New York Mills in a blustery and cold spring day by a score of 16-5, before falling to Otter Tail Central by a score of 4-2 in non-conference action on Friday.
This week the Hornets have a jam-packed week of action with a non-conference game against Menahga on Monday, before traveling to Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton on Thursday and hosting Breckenridge for a doubleheader on Thursday.
Monday
NY Mills scored 10 runs in the third inning and five more in the fourth inning to come away with a 16-5 win over Frazee on Monday night. The Eagles took advantage of six Frazee errors that led to 11 unearned runs in the loss.

Karson Krause attempts to throw out a runner at second base during last week’s home game against the Eagles.
After NY Mills scored on a fielder’s choice in the top of the first inning, Frazee tied the game up in the bottom half of the inning with a Noah Mekalson single down the left field line.
Unfortunately, NY Mills would go on to outscore the Hornets 15-4 the rest of the way with the lone runs for the Hornets coming on a Blake Sonnenberg RBI double in the third inning, a Mason Mickelson RBI single in the fourth inning, a Collin Wegscheid RBI single and a bases loaded walk in the fifth inning.
The Hornets were led offensively by Mekalson and Sonnenberg who each collected a pair of hits.
Dawson Lyman took the loss on the hill as he went 2 1/3 innings and gave up 10 hits, 11 runs of which five were earned and walked five batters.

Friday
Frazee once again came out on the short end of a close game on Friday as the Hornets fell to Otter Tail Central by a score of 4-2. The Hornets committed five errors in the game as the two teams combined for just five hits.
Frazee took a 1-0 lead in the fourth inning when Blake Sonnenberg connected on an RBI single. OTC scored one run in the fourth and a pair of runs in the fifth inning to take a 3-1 lead. The Hornets pulled within one run in the top of the sixth inning when Conner Erickson connected on a single and Karson Krause scored on the throw, but would get no closer as OTC scored another run in the sixth inning and held the Hornets scoreless in the top of the seventh inning to come away with the win.
Noah Mekalson was solid on the mound for the Hornets but took the loss after going six innings and giving up just two hits, four unearned runs, walked four batters and struck out four more.
