The League of Women Voters announced area candidate forums that will be held prior to this year’s election.

The Frazee candidate forum will be held at the Event Center Monday, Oct. 5. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the forum beginning at 6 p.m.

Candidates for mayor, the city council and school board will be in attendance.

The forum for Becker County Auditor-Treasurer, Sheriff and County Commissioner District 1 will be held Thursday, Sept. 17, at 6 p.m., at M-State on Highway 34 in Detroit Lakes.

There are nine candidates for three seats on the Detroit Lakes school board that will hold their own forum on Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 6 p.m., at M-State.
