Traffic to be detoured for two weeks, lane closures to follow

Starting Monday, July 11, weather permitting, Highway 108 will close between Interstate 94 and Ninth Street in Pelican Rapids for a resurfacing project.

For two weeks, through July 22, traffic will be detoured to I-94, Highway 34 and Highway 59. The roadway will be closed as crews replace centerline culverts ahead of paving.

Once the culvert work is completed, the detour will be removed and motorists can expect to encounter alternating lane closures, flaggers and pilot cars until the project is completed in mid-August.

Central Specialties, Inc., based in Alexandria, Minn., is the prime contractor for the project.
