Fall has arrived in full force—Cooler weather has been in the area well before fall arrived Friday. Sept. 22. In the fall, because of changes in the length of daylight and changes in temperature, the leaves stop their food-making process. The chlorophyll breaks down, the green color disappears, and the yellow to orange colors become visible and give the leaves part of their fall splendor.

Several boulders measuring 4-5 feet wide were brought to Lions Park in Frazee Thursday for work that was planned to start Monday, Sept. 25. Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Area Fisheries Supervisor Nathan Olson explained staff was on-site earlier in the year showcasing work done by the agency when an employee noticed maintenance was needed on the dam.

The daughter of Tanya and Mike Mahoney shared her love for the game originated on the Hornet fields with coach Dave Trautman.
