Event set for Friday during Turkey Days

A community celebration for a whistle free zone will be held on Friday afternoon in conjunction with the Turkey Days celebration.

The trains may no longer blast their whistle through town, but 40 lucky people could receive a souvenir train whistle on Friday afternoon.

A Frazee Whistle Free Zone Notice of Establishment ceremony will be held on Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. at the skating rink by 5th St. The event will commemorate the passing of a train whistle free zone in Frazee, which was completed earlier this summer in town.

The first 40 people who come to the event will receive a free souvenir train whistle to commemorate the occasion.
