The starting line for the Turkey Days Road Rally Saturday, July 28 was changed and will now be at the Frazee Essential Clinic parking lot. The Road Rally theme is Superhero and all participants are encouraged to dress up, decorate their vehicle and gain bonus points for presentation before even leaving Frazee. Pups taking the plunge, historical tours through town and an old-fashioned ice cream exhibit headline the new additions to the Turkey Days 2018 event calendar. Dogs of all ages and sizes are invited to the Town Lake public beach for the free event.

Dave Daggett held a picture of his father and other relatives sitting on a 15-foot log floating on Wyler Lake. As he moves the picture to his left he looks onto the lake and sees the youngest generation of his family climbing atop the same log. “I wish I had a dime for every butt that sat on that log,” he said, noting the lake toy for six generations of his family almost became firewood this past spring. “A crack had developed that was large enough to catch a foot,” he explained. “We were worried someone would get hurt so we talked about removing it.”
