Wilfredo Enrique Toval, of Frazee, has been charged with felony second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon, gross misdemeanor illegal possession of a firearm, and misdemeanor domestic assault.

According to Becker County District Court records, law enforcement officers responded to a report of domestic violence in Frazee on Thursday, July 6.

Responding officers were met by Toval, who claimed nothing was going on and the family was sleeping.

Officers spoke with a woman who claimed Toval had hit her. The woman had a swollen bump by her left eye. She said the bump was from being hit the previous day.

Toval is accused of hitting the woman and dragging her through the house by her hair. He is also accused of beating the woman and putting a gun to her head.

The woman was able to describe the gun in detail and told officers the gun was located in a vehicle parked in Perham.

Upon locating the vehicle, officers executed a search warrant, and found the pistol, along with ammunition the woman had described.
