The Frazee Hornets returned to the course on Thursday as they traveled to Detroit Lakes for a meet featuring eight teams, including several larger Class AA schools. 

On the girls side, eighth grader Madi Perrine paced the Hornets with a 26th place to finish with a time of 24:54.30. Lola Hoehne was right on her heels as the sophomore took 28th place with a time of 25:48.50, while fellow sophomore Caleigh Pausch took 40th place with a time of 28:01, freshman Bristol Larsen took 41st place with a time of 28:33.1 and sophomore Emersyn Wake took 47th place with a time of 38:10.5.

On the boys side, Jonah Sharp took 27th place to lead the way for the Hornets with a time of 20:11.9, while Cael Pausch took 29th place with a time of 20:34.10 and Brady Borah took 30th place with a time of 20:47.3. Also competing for the boys was Alex Helmers who took 42nd place with a time of 22:45, Tyden Schaefer who took 47th place with a time of 23:55.2 and Daniel Winn who took 54th place with a time of 31:46.10. 

As a team, the Frazee boys took eighth place with 175 points, while the Frazee girls took seventh place with a team score of 176. 

After competing at Long Prairie-Grey Eagle on Monday, the Hornets will take the rest of the week off from competition, before competing in Bagley on Tuesday, Sept. 19.
