Patricia and Mike Melander, of Melander Trucking, made their annual stop in Frazee with the Santa Truck Thursday, Dec. 14. Unusually warm temperatures in the 40’s brought out a big crowd of kids young and old to mingle with a cast of holiday characters from the Grinch to the Cat in the Hat. There was a long line of people from Santa’s sleigh all the way back to the entrance of the Event Center waiting for a photo opportunity and chat with Santa and Mrs. Claus. The Claus’ made sure every kid left with a bag of goodies and CornerStone Youth and Community Center provided hot cocoa for all the visitors. According to the Melanders, visitors ranged from 2-week-old baby Olson to Great Aunt Arlys who was 99-years-young.
