Alexandria Technical & Community College 2023-2024 Graduates

More than 600 graduates were honored during the 2023-2024 academic year at Alexandria Technical & Community College. The spring commencement ceremony was held May 8, 2024 at the Runestone Community Center in Alexandria.

Cummings earns SCTC academic honors

St. Cloud Technical & Community College congratulates Abigail Cummings, of Frazee, for an academic achievement Spring 2024. Cummings earned recognition on the President’s List for a grade point average of 4.0 or the Dean’s list for a grade point average of 3.5 to 3.99.

Minnesota State Mankato announces Spring Dean’s List

The Academic High Honor and Honor lists (Dean’s lists) for the past spring semester at Minnesota State University, Mankato have been announced by Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs David Hood. 

Included in the list of honorees was Sophie Nelson, of Frazee (Honor List).

Among 3,679 students, a total of 1,150 students qualified for the High Honor List by achieving a 4.0 straight “A” average, while 2,529 students earned a 3.5 to 3.99 average to qualify for the Honor List.  

To qualify for academic honors, undergraduate students must be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours for the semester.

Minnesota State Mankato, a comprehensive university with 14,635 students, is part of the Minnesota State system, which includes 26 colleges and seven universities.

Wacker earns NDSU scholarships

Laney Wacker, daughter of Sarah and Tom Wacker, Vergas, received the NDSU Presidential Award, the Olson/Challey First Generation Business Scholarship and the NDSU Development Foundation Honor Scholarship at North Dakota State University.

The NDSU Presidential Award recognizes students who scored a 32 or higher on the ACT and 3.5+ high school GPA or 3.98 or higher high school GPA. 

The Olson/Challey First Generation Business Scholarship recognizes first generation college students, in the college of business with high academic achievement. 

The NDSU Development Foundation Honor Scholarship recognizes students who have high academic achievement.

Wacker will enter NDSU in the fall and major in marketing.

CLC Announces 2023-24 Graduates 

 Central Lakes College, Brainerd and Staples, has announced its 2023-24 graduates. These students have completed degree, diploma or certificate programs.  

Broden Fleisher, of Frazee, earned an Associate of Arts degree with honors.

High honors students earned a 3.75-4.0 GPA. Honors students earned 3.25-3.74 GPA. The list includes all but those students with data privacy requested. 

Central Lakes College is a comprehensive community and technical college in the Minnesota State System. The college serves about 5,5000 students annually in liberal arts and career education programs.
