Notes from the Chief
Well good news…We may have found the young man who is missing the tip of his finger. Not sure if it can be reattached or not. On the other hand, I did have a male party ask me if we ever find an extra arm, that he could use one.
Turkey Days 2024 is coming this weekend, and we ask that everyone be safe and respectful while out and about.
A friendly reminder that alcohol is not allowed in public areas unless in the fenced area of an event. Let’s all have a great weekend, and I will leave you with this quote:

Thursday, July 11
9:04 p.m. Assist with a disturbance that happened on Borah Rd.
Friday, July 12
3:09 p.m. Wallet found at Eagle Lake Park. Owner contacted.
4:27 p.m. Homeowner notified that their lawn and weeds needed attention. Lawn was mowed the next day.
8:40 p.m. Officer gave an elderly male a ride home.
Saturday, July 13
7:56 p.m. Welfare check on male party at Hwy 87 overpass. Male was in emotional distress after the attempted assassination of former President Trump.
8:38 p.m. Assist MN State Patrol with a rolling domestic on US Hwy 10.
Sunday, July 14
3:57 p.m. Disturbance reported between male and female at Dollar General. Officer talked with both parties and got them settled down.
Monday, July 15
11:29 a.m. Male party calling to ask about HRO options.
1:57 p.m. Daycare reporting their playground was being used by older kids and some damage occurred.
5:03 p.m. Officer gave a warning to adult female for trespassing on RR property.
5:52 p.m. Officer saw a male party throw a plastic bottle into the brush next to the river. Officer told the male that he could either collect the bottle or receive a citation for littering. Male party went into the bush to retrieve the bottle and did have some frustration with the bushes while he was retrieving it.
9:42 p.m. Report of fireworks. Unable to locate.
Tuesday, July 16
12:32 a.m. Officer reminded a couple in the back seat of a vehicle that the Lions Park closes at 10 p.m.
11:49 a.m. Parents reaching out to officer regarding their kid’s behavior.
5:02 p.m. Civil issue between two parties over fixing vehicle. Officer helped resolve the situation.
9:21 p.m. Traffic stop after officer saw the juveniles move the barricades on Main Ave E and drive around.
Wednesday, July 17
10:22 a.m. Resident requesting extra patrol as they will be out of town for a couple days.
10:30 a.m. Resident reporting a suspicious male in the neighborhood early in the morning. Officer came to town earlier than normal and did not locate said person.
12:55 p.m. Mother concerned about young girls being talked to by adult men while the girls were walking on the street.
2:01 p.m. Disturbance reported on Main Ave W. Male party to be cited for 5th Degree Assault and Disorderly Conduct.
3:39 p.m. Report of a female in the construction area who would not leave. Female was under the influence and hitting on the construction workers. Officer gave the female a ride.
8:01 p.m. Warning to juveniles for trespassing on RR property.
Thursday, July 18
7 a.m. Assist with a motor vehicle crash on US Hwy 10.
7:47 a.m. Assist with a medical.
11:01 p.m. Assist Fargo PD with locating a female who was supposed to be in the area.
5:46 p.m. Officer monitored traffic on River Drive N due to the large amount of vehicles and the dust created.
