The Frazee Fly Girls opened their season on Saturday at a jazz compeition in Pequot Lakes. The Fly Girls took seventh place in the meet and will perform during halftime of the basketball double-header on December 3.

The Frazee Fly Girls dance team competed their varsity jazz routine on Saturday in Pequot Lakes. 

Teams included: Crosby-Ironton, Aitkin, Moorhead, Bemidji, Little Falls and Pequot Lakes- Pine River Backus. 

The jazz team placed seventh, with high scores in visual effectiveness, routine difficulty, and difficulty of skills categories. 

Crosby-Ironton placed first, followed by Bemidji in second, and Moorhead in third place. Crosby-Ironton and Aitkin are in the Frazee-Vergas Section 4A, Little Falls and Pequot are Class AA teams, and Bemidji and Moorhead are Class AAA teams. 

Head coach Hailey Brower said the girls had a great first performance, competing earlier than normal for their season. They are looking forward to their halftime performances on December 3 where both varsity kick and jazz will be performing at the halftime of the basketball double-header games.
