The holiday spirit will be on full display this weekend in Frazee for the annual Merry Frazee Christmas celebration. The annual Christmas celebration will begin on Friday night with a piano concert at Corner Collective from 7-9 p.m., before a bulk of the celebration gets underway on Saturday.
Santa Claus will be a fixture in Frazee throughout the day on Saturday as he will be stopping by the Frazee Event Center from 8:30-11 a.m. for breakfast with Santa. The morning will also include kids crafts from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., the DL Rotary Book Giveaway at 10 a.m., craft and vendor show from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the reindeer cupcake walk beginning at 10 a.m. All of the events in the morning, with the exception of the scavenger hunt clues that will be released beginning at 10 a.m. at Corner Collective, will be held at the event center.
Following a holiday lunch from 12-2 p.m. at the event center, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be returning to the event center from 4-6 p.m. to gather Christmas wish lists and visit with local children, both naughty and nice. While visiting with Santa and Mrs. Claus, don’t forget to cast a vote in the annual host dish competition and bake sale from 4-6 p.m. at the event center.
The afternoon will also include hayrides from 4:15-6:15 p.m. at the event center, as well as hot chocolate, coffee and cookies at the end of the parade route near the Palace Cafe and the living nativity and reading of the Christmas Story from 5:15-6 p.m. on Main Ave.
The downtown Frazee area will glow different shades of red, green and white as the annual Snow Plow Parade rolls through town beginning at 6:15 p.m. The Merry Frazee Christmas celebration will come to an end with pizza, puzzles and beer at the event center beginning at 7 p.m. and holiday drinks, giveaways and karaoke at the Third Crossing from 7-11 p.m.
Just outside of Frazee, tours, holiday drinks and music by local artists will be held at Karinall Estate from 2-6 p.m.
