0Raymond Arthur Buhr died unexpectedly at his home on May 18, 2021 in Arlington Texas.
Ray was born on January 20, 1963 in Detroit Lakes, MN to Harry and Mary Lou (Miller) Buhr. He was raised and educated in Frazee, MN and graduated with the class of 1981. Ray lived in many places after highschool; Florida, Hawaii, and Brainerd MN, just to name a few.
Ray was united in marriage to Salvacion Cantuba on September 17, 1991. Throughout their marriage they lived in Colorado where Ray studied Ministry at Charis Bible College. They also lived in the Philippines.
Ray had so much compassion for helping people in many ways. Most important to him was teaching people about God and reading the Bible.
Growing up, Ray lived in rural Frazee on their farm, and also at the Northern Inn Resort on Big Toad Lake. He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, camping, and hiking.
Ray is survived by his wife Salvie. Brothers; Jerry (Pam) Buhr of Osage, MN, Randy (Julie) Buhr of Frazee, MN. Sister; Amy Buhr of Frazee, MN. Sister-in-law; Karen Buhr of Austin, MN. Nephew; Grant (Annie) Buhr of Washington. Nieces; Stephanie (Andy) Laws of Austin, MN. Jennifer (Don) Buhr of Frazee, MN. Sarah (Tyler) Oelfke of Frazee, MN. Rachael (Keane Oehrlein) Buhr of Frazee, MN. Great nieces and nephews; Jonathan Buhr, Frazee. Kylie Nienow, Austin MN. Payslee Oehrlein, Frazee MN. He will be greatly missed by cousins, many friends and his family in the Philippines.
Ray is preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and two siblings – Bobby Buhr and Thomas Buhr.
A memorial service will be held from 11:00-3:00 on Saturday June 26 at the Height of Land Township Hall. There will be a short visitation from 11:00-11:30 with a service at 11:30, followed with lunch and fellowship.
