James (Jim) Pearson touched many lives during his time here on earth, and his loving spirit will be remembered long after his passing. 

Jim passed away unexpectedly on December 29, 2021 at Sanford Health.  He is preceded in death by his parents Richard & Alice Pearson of Ocala, FL and his wife Debbie Pearson of Detroit Lakes, MN.  He is survived by his daughters Janice (Tim) Trieglaff of Frazee, MN & Julie (Bucky) Sonnenberg of Frazee, MN.  He is also survived by his former wife & mother of his children Gail Pearson of Ottertail, MN, his 3 stepsons, Wayne (Maren) Garner of Jacksonville, FL, Ben (Jody) Garner of Grand Forks, ND, Matt Garner of St. Louis, MO and his 10 grandchildren and many amazing friends.

Jim enlisted in the US Army in 1969 where he served 20 years before retiring and moving to Minnesota.  Jim was happiest when he was with family.  In his spare time, he loved playing cards, fishing, golfing, & bowling.

His family will strive to honor his memory by living life to the fullest as he did.

Visitation will be at Furey Funeral Home in Frazee, MN on Saturday, January 8, 2022, from 2-4 pm with Military Honors at 4 pm.  A celebration of life will follow at Billy’s Bar & Grill in Vergas, MN.
