Zee Lanes is slated to open in March, and will offer a full menu including broasted chicken. On Friday, Jan. 27 Pat Furey was moving in tables he purchased from Godfather’s Pizza in Fargo, N.D., which recently closed. The interior will offer a new set up. He noted the kitchen had recently been cleared by the health inspector, but there was still work to do before opening date, including hiring a staff.
The Frazee Liquor Store welcomed TamiJo Hopwood as the new manager. After interviewing three applicants out of a pool of 4, the human resources committee, comprised of council members Ken Miosek and Bonnie Julius offered Hopwood the position.
Progress has been made in welcoming the Dollar General to Frazee. During a special Planning and Zoning committee meeting Tuesday, Jan. 24, the group approved an application to rezone a portion of property along West Maple Avenue.

Third Crossing Trading Co. of Frazee is in the process of purchasing the city shop near the goose pond on Main Avenue. Owners Tom Watson and Don Trieglaff are waiting for the paperwork to be finalized before progressing with building changes.
Truck driver Don Ueke of Frazee is feeling like the king of the road after scratching off the first $100,000 High Roller prize in the state. Ueke, a truck driver of 30 years, usually buys a half dozen tickets when a new game comes out. The High Roller game came out Tuesday. Before rolling out of the Clearwater Travel Plaza parking lot last Thursday, Ueke sat in the cab of his truck and scratched off the winning ticket.

Jarrod Christen was renamed Frazee Fire Chief at the annual election meeting of the Frazee Fire Dept. last Thursday. Other officers re-elected were Leonard Schrandt, Assistant Chief; Neil Woodard, Secretary, and Ronald Niemann, Treasurer.
Becker County will receive $741,482.00 as its share of $56,579,340 in county state aid highway funds for 1972, according to Ray Lappegaard, state highway commissioner.
February 6-12 is Boy Scout Week, being the 62nd birthday of the Scouting program, and will be observed across the nation.
