Ardell M. Jorgenson, age 71 of Perham, MN died Tuesday, March 28, 2023 in Mills Manor Assisted Living in New York Mills, MN.

Ardell Margaret Sazama was born February 20, 1952 in Perham, MN, the daughter of Albert and Regina (Dombeck) Sazama. She attended Rose Hill Country School, then St. Henry’s School, and from ninth grade on, attended Perham High School, graduating in 1970. After school, Ardell worked at the turkey plant in Pelican Rapids, MN and at Perham Memorial Nursing Home.

Ardell was united in marriage to Marlin Jorgenson on September 3, 1971 and together had five children: Tracey (Tiffany) Jorgenson of Perham, Joanie (Ron) Galbrecht of Perham, Kurt (Rebecca) Jorgenson of Perham, Marlin Jr. and Kayla (Rory) Paurus of Frazee, MN. Later in life, Ardell worked at the Frazee Care Center, for Otter Tail County Public Health, Perham Hospital home care, and finally on the floor as a CNA at the Perham Hospital. She retired in February of 2014. Ardell was a member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliary and enjoyed camping, four-wheeling, playing cards, and being with her family.

Preceding Ardell in death were her parents; her son, Marlin Jr.; brothers, Duane Sazama, James “Jim” Sazama, William “Bill” Sazama, Mike (Sandy) Sazama; and her sisters, Marcella (Stan) Silbernagel and Arleen Silbernagel; brothers-in-law, Norman Jorgenson and Lawrence Jorgenson; and sisters-in-law, Carol Sazama and Shirley Sazama.

Surviving Ardell are husband, Marlin; her children; grandchildren, Jacob (Elizabeth), Kristina, Gage (Annie), Ty, Rylee, Matt, Megan, Brody, and Nathan; one great granddaughter, Estelle; siblings, Louie Sazama, Arthur Sazama, and Roger (Debra) Sazama; siblings-in-law, Charlie Silbernagel, Cyndi Sazama, Vicki Sazama, Gloria (Mike) Powers, Albert (MaryAnne) Jorgenson, and Jeanette Jorgenson; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at Schoeneberger Funeral and Cremation Service of Perham, with Parish Prayers at 6:30. Visitation will resume at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 3 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Perham followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00. Interment will be at Bauck Cemetery in rural Perham.
