Constance (Connie) Breitzman, age 74 of Frazee, began her final journey on Monday, February 21, 2022, at home, after a year-long battle with cancer.

She was born to Gus and Hilda Kuester of Menomonie, WI, on December 17, 1947. She grew up on the family farm near Menomonie and graduated from Menomonie High School in 1966. On June 13, 1970, Connie married Dennis Breitzman, also of Menomonie.

In their nearly 52-year adventure, Connie and Dennis lived in numerous homes in eight states and made countless memories and friends along the way. Connie worked in banks most of her adult life until her retirement (or graduation as she liked to say) from BNC National Bank in Bismarck, ND. She always enjoyed her work and the people she met while doing it.

Connie loved life and was always on the go. She especially loved spending time with family and friends. Connie was always on the lookout for new friends and ways to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was active in several organizations throughout the years and was always willing to help others. She enjoyed being on and in the water, especially in her kayak she bought for Dennis as a birthday present. Connie also loved to travel and took numerous trips with friends and Dennis. Trips to Alaska, Italy, and New York at Christmas were at the top of her favorites list. She was quite competitive and enjoyed any kind of game whether indoors or outdoors. Perhaps more than anything, Connie liked to play golf. Nothing stood in the way of her scheduled golf outings, including chemotherapy. She had said if only she had learned earlier in life, she was sure she would have been a professional! Connie also enjoyed a properly made martini.

Connie is preceded in death by her mother and father; brother, Melvin; and sister, Carla. Survivors include her husband, Dennis; daughter, Larissa (Mark) Martin of Bismarck, ND; son, Jason (Sarah) Breitzman of Alexandria, MN; grandchildren, Brianna, Jon, and Zoya, all of Bismarck; and Jack and Miles of Alexandria; great grandchildren, Emma, and Bryson of Bismarck; brothers, Edward of Eau Claire, WI and Tom of Menomonie; sister, Patricia of Albuquerque, NM; and many nephews and nieces.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 28, 2022, at Schoeneberger Funeral and Cremation Service of Perham. Visitation will be one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Roger Maris Cancer Center of Fargo.
