0Doris Ann Lachowitzer, 84 of Pelican Rapids, MN died on February 14, 2024 at Essentia Health Medical Center – St. Joseph.
Doris Ann was born on October 29, 1939, the daughter of Alfred and Julia (Moen) in Pelican Rapids, MN, Doris brought joy to everyone she met with her fun-loving and creative personality and being the middle child of nine, known for her sense of humor and ability to bring laughter to any room. Family was everything to Doris, and she cherished every moment spent with her loved ones. She and her husband Roy shared a deep love for each other and enjoyed going dancing together. They truly knew how to have fun and brought happiness into each other’s lives. Doris held a special place in her heart for nature and often went for walks in the beautiful outdoors.
Throughout her life, Doris had many hobbies and interests. She loved playing bingo, digging in the dirt as she tended to her garden and flowers, as well as creating beautiful pieces through crocheting and knitting. Living on the lake brought her immense happiness, as she found solace in the peaceful surroundings.
Doris’s proudest accomplishment in life was undoubtedly her family. She’ll be missed by her daughter, Teresa (Special Friend: Treon) her children, granddaughter Stacy (Mike) Wellnitz and their children Frankie and Indie, as well as granddaughter Crystal (Cordez) Nordlund and their children Damien and Tyrese, her son, Darin, along with his children – grandson, DJ (Amber) and their children, Leaph, Alexander, and Mazzy, her granddaughter, Tiffany, along with her children Deakon and Lyrik. In addition to her immediate family members who survive her, Doris is also mourned by her siblings: Sharon (Roger) Wright and Roger Anderson, as well as sisters-in-law Pam Kruse and Linda Agustus.
A visitation will take place on Friday, February 23, 2024, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Furey Funeral Home in Frazee, MN. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM.
