Edward Albert Rux, age 83 was promoted to his heavenly home on January 14, 2026 while surrounded by five generations of family. 

Ed was born to Emil and Annie (Weideman) Rux on April 1, 1942 in Evergreen Township, MN.

Ed met the love of his Life, Ardis Leeseberg and they married October 26, 1963. They raised two children, Dennis and Jeanette.

He leaves behind his wife of 63 years, Ardis; his children Dennis (Deb) Rux and Jeanette (Pat) Hodnefield; his nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandgirls; his siblings Fritz Rux, Violet (Dave) Riggle, Shirley (Ernie) Jepson, Alice Peterson, and Sharon (Randy) Eikom; sisters-in-law Diane Rux and Lavella Struck; his brother-in-law Herb Jr. (Terri) Leeseberg; along with his many nieces, nephews, Godchildren, and close friends.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents; in-laws Herb Sr. and Ida Leeseberg; his sister Marrieanne (Harland) Marshall; his brother George Rux; three brothers-in-law Delmer Peterson, Conrad Zimbleman, Tyler Struck; and one sister-in-law Martha “Mert” Rux.

Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 6:30 on Sunday, January 18 at Schoeneberger Funeral & Cremation Service in Perham. Visitation will resume from 10:00-11:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 on Monday, January 19 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Evergreen Township, rural Frazee. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
