Jerry Keith Buhr, 67, Osage, MN, left us far too soon on December 23, 2023.

He was born on November 4, 1956 to Harry and Mary Lou (Miller) Buhr, and was raised in the Frazee, MN area.  He lived and helped out on the family farm near Little Toad Lake. He later lived at the Northern Inn on Big Toad Lake.

Jerry went to school in Frazee Minnesota, where he graduated in 1975, he then went on to serve in the US Army from 1975 to 1978 when he was honorably discharged. Jerry then went on to get a degree in sales at the Detroit Lakes Votech. He held several sales position over the years until his retirement and 2022. 

Jerry was a veteran of the Army and a member of the Detroit Lakes Shriner Color Guard. Jerry was united and marriage to Pam in 1980. They made their home on Big Toad Lake. Jerry was a devoted father, grandfather and uncle.

Jerry enjoyed spending his time with family and friends whether it be sitting around having conversations or out fishing, hunting, golfing or time on the family farm. He was also a great cook and enjoyed taking his hog roaster out to various occasions and cooking a meal.

Jerry is survived by his wife Pam; daughter Jennifer (Don Pope); grandson Jonathan of Osage, MN; brother Randy (Julie) of Frazee, MN; sister Amy of Frazee, MN; nieces Stephanie (Andy) Laws of Austin, MN, Sarah (Tyler) Oelfke of Frazee, MN, Rachael (Keane Oehrlein) Buhr of Frazee, MN, nephew Grant (Annie) Buhr of Grand Rapids, MI; great nieces and nephews Kylie, Nienow of Austin, MN, Payslee Oehrlein, Harlan Oehrlein of Frazee. MN and Otto Oelfke of Frazee, MN.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Robert, Tom, and Ray and nephew, Eric Buhr.

His spirit will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone he interacted with. 

A memorial visitation for Jerry will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024 from 5 to 7 PM at the David-Donehower Funeral Home (609 US Hwy 10 E., Detroit Lakes, MN 56501).  A prayer service followed by a Masonic Service will close out the evening.  Visitation continues Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 10 AM at Gethsemane Lutheran Church (46913 MN-34, Snellman, MN 56570).  A funeral service will be held at 11 AM with the Rev. William “Bill” Knaack officiating.  Military honors will follow at church.  Final rest will be private.
