LaVonne “Bonnie” Schultz, age 92, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Ecumen-Emmanuel Nursing Home in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota.

LaVonne Mae Rosenow was born November 2, 1928 in Erie Township, Frazee, Minnesota the daughter of Alfred and Ida (Loebrick) Rosenow. She grew up in Frazee and graduated from Frazee High School in 1946.

She was united in marriage to Floyde Schultz on May 21, 1947. They had four children together.

Bonnie was a hard worker and started working as a teenager at local grocery stores in Frazee, Bill and Dell’s and Hartz Store. She joined Peoples State Bank in 1954 and worked as a teller until 1979 when health issues forced her to retire. She loved her job at the bank and her love of people and her warm personality gained her many friends. Her smile and laughter lit up many a room!

Bonnie and Floyde loved to travel the western states and visited them every summer with the kids in their camper. She was an avid Rummy player and taught her children and grandchildren how to play. She rarely lost a card game. She also loved to play bingo! After moving to Emmanuel Nursing Home January 2019, she played with fellow residents and won often. Her room was filled with many of her prizes…including sweets which she loved!
