Marie Caroline (Schnathorst) Dumbeck was born August 18, 1929 in Frazee to Lee William Schnathorst and Amelia Edna (Walker) Schnathorst. On December 13, 1952, Marie married David Dumbeck at the Frazee Methodist Church, a union which lasted until his death in 2014.

On Friday, August 13, 2021 Marie passed away peacefully at Mills Manor in New York Mills at the age of 91 with family present. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a nephew, Ed Courtney. Marie is survived by her sister Sharon (Jim) Courtney; four children Barb (Duaine) Steuber of rural New York Mills , Vida (Eric) Steuber, Sue (Ed) Delaney and Dave Dumbeck, all of rural Perham; brother-in-law Aaron Dumbeck of Frazee; four grandchildren Darla (David) Disserud, Tim (Jenn) Steuber, Tara (Nick) Wilson, and Jessica Delaney; five great grandchildren Dennis, Emily and Anicia Disserud and Corbin and Kolton Steuber; and two nieces Brenda (Bob) Sharp and Bonnie Thomas.

  Visitation for Marie will be on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 from 5-7pm at the Furey Funeral Home in Frazee.
