Ronald James Blaine Jr, 91, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on March 18th, 2025.

Ronald James (Bud) Blaine Jr was born on December 29, 1933, to Ronald (Blondie) Blaine Sr and Helen Cavanaugh Blaine. He was the third child of four: Robert, David, Ronald, and Gerald.

In 1963, Bud married Patricia Mary Latapie, who grew up in the bayous of Delacroix Island, Louisiana.

After Bud retired from a twenty-year career in the U.S. Navy, in which he rose to the rank of Warrant Officer (Bud was a Maverick), he moved his family back to his hometown of Frazee where they raised two children, Sean (Laird of Xibalba) and Patrick, both of whom attended Frazee High School. Bud was later reunited with a son from a previous marriage, Ronald Hall.

Bud loved golfing, dining with friends and family, and spending time with his beloved dogs, Rosie, Dudley, Rufus, Teddy, and Birdie.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Patricia, and all three of his brothers.

He is survived by his darling dog, Birdie; his much-loved adopted family and neighbors Lana and Ronny Rodriguez and their sons, Christian and Nathan; his sons, Sean (Laird of Xibalba); Patrick of Saint Paul, MN; and Ronald Hall of Scott County, MN; his grandchildren, Alexander, Morgan, and Maximillian; and his great-granddaughter, Nell.

His ashes will be placed alongside his wife Patricia in Fort Sam Houston cemetery in San Antonio, TX.
