Memorial services were 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 6 at Harvest Church Church in Frazee.

Selma Hyatt was born April 15, 1935 in Marshall, Ill. the daughter of William and Sarah (Sweitzer) Clouse. She passed away on  Monday, May 3, 2021 at Oak Crossing Nursing home in Detroit Lakes, MN. 

She grew up and attended school in Cabool, Mo. On November 4, 1952 she was united in marriage to Floyd Hyatt in Cabool, Mo. To this union six children were born. Floyd and Selma traveled until they settled and made their home in Freeze, MN in 1976. Selma raised her kids and cared for many children in Frazee. She enjoyed sewing and quilting and taught her granddaughters to embroider and cross stich. Selma was a member of Harvest Fellowship Church in Frazee.

She is survived by her children: Marleena (Bob) Grow, Sam (Judy) Hyatt, Betty Nelson, Beverly (Neil) Moulton, Linda (Pat) Fineday: 18 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, sister; Anna Marie Burk and several nieces and nephews.

Selma was preceded in death by her parents; husband Floyd Hyatt in 1977 and daughter Janice Hyatt.
