Memorial service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday Sperber 1st at Christ Lutheran Church in Wolf Lake.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 7:00 PM with a 6:30 Prayer Service at the Furey Funeral Home of Frazee and will continue for one hour prior to the service at the church.

Stella Christine Christianson was born May 14, 1928, the daughter of Ludvig and Hannah (Thorson) Christianson. She was called to the Lord on August 23, 2021 at the age of 93.

She grew up and attended school in Toad Lake Township and was confirmed at Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Stella was Wolf Lake treasure for over 20 years, and worked at Jenny Store, Wolf Lake café, and Ringer Sewing Company.

On October 18, 1947 Stella was united in marriage to Harold Maynard Kangas. To this union four children were born. Maynard passed away in May of 1987.

She married Norman Dormanen at Christ Lutheran in Wolf Lake and made their home in Chisholm. After Norman passed away, she lived in Detroit Lakes, and Park Rapids before living with her daughter Carla in Moorhead.  Stella moved to Frazee after Carla passed away and was currently a resident at the Frazee Care Center.

Stella enjoyed playing softball, babysitting, spending time with her family and she loved the Lord.

She is survived by her children: Brent (Grace) Kangas, Jolene (Jerry) Anderson, Gayla (Mick) Aho; 9 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; brother: Kennard Christianson; stepchildren: Gordy (Lynn) Dormanen, Phillip (Delphine) Dormanen, Leona (Len) Tylla, Elaine (Marty) Lehto, and their children and grandchildren.

Stella was preceded in death by her parents: Ludvig and Hannah Christianson; husbands: Maynard Kangas, and Norman Dormanen; daughter: Carla Kangas; sister: Ruth Mattson; brothers: Orvin, Morris, and Alden Christianson.
